This is a move that is less than 450 miles. Make sure to inquire with your moving company as you may have to pay long distance charges even for short haul moves.

What is a local move?
This usually refers to moves that are less than 100 miles and within the same state.

What is an intrastate move?
This refers to a move of more than 100 miles within the same state.

What is partial packing?
This generally includes the packing and wrapping or pictures, mirrors, glass items, lamps, china cabinets, televisions and furniture.

Can I still move in poor weather?
Yes, professional movers are prepared to move in almost any condition including sleet, snow or rain. Just make sure you clear the driveway beforehand if you are moving in snowy conditions.

Yes, you should verify that all the professional movers and packers are insured by the company you select.

Can I ride with the movers on my moving day?
No, moving companies do not allow passengers to accompany them in the moving truck for liability reasons.

These are basic charges for long distance move that are calculated by the weight of your shipment and total mileage.
